The Good Earth® brand was founded in 1972 with a mission to provide great-tasting food and drinks that are good for our customers and the environment - which, in the heyday of fast food and TV dinners, seemed almost like an act of rebellion.

A lot has changed over the past 35 years, but our philosophy hasn't. And now, these many years later, Good Earth® is proud to complement its flavorful teas with something completely new: an organic, sustainable, premium coffee.

What is Organic?
"Organic" has become such a marketing buzzword, that it's easy to forget that it actually means something. In our case, it means that the USDA has verified that our coffee beans have been grown and harvested on an organic plantation - untouched by chemical pesticides or herbicides, in a way that's less taxing on the land. Our roasting facility has undergone similarly stringent inspections to ensure that our roasting and packaging processes produce organic-only coffee. No chemicals. No additives. Just pure, natural coffee - ready for you to enjoy, worry-free.

Good Earth® Coffee is crafted from 100% specialty grade Arabica coffee beans
Among coffee connoisseurs, that's the sort of introduction that will get you recognized. Grown at higher altitudes in equatorial regions, Coffea Arabica trees produce what are considered to be the finest coffee beans on the market. And "Specialty Grade" Arabica beans are the most select Arabica beans - i.e., the best of the best. And in the skillful hands of Good Earth's coffee experts, these beans have produced blends that make even the most pretentious coffee connoisseurs smile - and drink deeply.

Even the packaging is earth-friendly
Why take the time to create organic, sustainable coffee if you're going to guzzle more fossil fuels than an SUV to package it? Prodded by this dilemma, we created what we feel is among the greenest packaging in the coffee aisle. For starters, part of our bag lining is derived from plants rather than petro-chemicals, and nearly 20% of our packaging comes from a renewable source. Yet it keeps our coffee as fresh as when it went into the bag, still hot from the roaster, thanks to a special process that lets steam escape but seals in the flavor.

...So open it up, brew it up, and drink it down - confident in the knowledge that everything about the experience is good.
